Car clubs are revving things up this summer in Kanab. Utah Fast Pass, an organization based in Salt Lake, with members who own exotic, expensive cars  that include; Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Maseratis, Corvettes, and Ford GTs, are here today! Welcome.

The club will be in Kanab from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be approximately 110 people in attendance, stopping for lunch on Main Street in front of the newspaper office. There will be around 40 cars on display.

Larry H. Miller was the inspiring founder of Utah Fast Pass. It is a charitable organization that has provided scholarships to 50 Utah high school students, 15 rural community grants, significant donations to public safety organizations, including the Honoring Heroes Foundation, and donations to 11 other charitable organizations.

Group representative Troy Tait said Fast Pass participants are wonderful people who love to share their cars. "Many will allow community members to sit in the cars and take pictures."

They will have Fast Pass hats, T-shirts and posters for their members to hand out. Also present will be Stan Wanles, a well-known artist in the automotive world, providing event artwork. He has a painting that will be auctioned at the group''s gala event. In past years, this painting has been sold for $40,000-$50,000. Posters (replicas of the painting) will be given to members of our community and he will be available to autograph them.

At the conclusion of the visit, Fast Pass chairman Tom Mabey and Troy Tait will present Kanab with a $2000 check and some other memorabilia from the event.

Come and show Utah Fast Pass participants how much area citizens appreciate their visit and charitable donations.
