There was an early morning king sighting on July 13 in Kanab. The King of Jordan, Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, 47, and his entourage, had breakfast at Grandma Tina''s. A large motorcycle contingent of which he was a part, was touring southern Utah. Security personnel from the U.S. and his own country accompanied him, along with a black support vehicle.

Restaurant building owner Paula Zutes said that she got a heads up before the visit. "They called the night before and told me to be prepared for a lot of security. They only wanted fruit and sweet rolls."

Zutes said the king and all accompanying him were kind and polite. She said that several of the men looked similar, leading her to believe that was done for security reasons. "They were all tall, dark and slender. It was a great thrill."
