Share your Nativity with the community
Do you have a special Nativity? Perhaps, one carved by some artisan in a village halfway around the world. If so, let everyone in town admire it up close during the annual community Live Nativity event scheduled for Monday, December 21, in Kanab.
Due to the popularity of the Nativity display last year, organizers decided to move the viewing area to a larger venue. This year, dozens of unique Nativities from around the world will be displayed in the Kanab Middle School Commons before and after the Live Nativity performance on the Kanab High School football field at 6:30 p.m. the same evening.
Your Nativity will be safe under the supervision of Kaye Wright and her team. Wright helped create some of the biggest displays of Nativities in southern Utah as part of the Jubilee of Lights in St. George, which has thousands of visitors. Joining Kaye Wright (435-680-3118) in this effort to make these works of art available for viewing is Ann Alleman (435-644-5846) and Brenda Shakespear (435-689-0458). Please contact one these ladies to get more information.
If you would like to participate in the Live Nativity as one of the characters, or help behind the scenes, please contact Mariah Wheeler (435-689-1941). Wheeler will be directing the Live Nativity in its fourth iteration.
