We’re back. Kanab High School Drama and some select students from Kanab Middle School are excited to perform for you  “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” on January 17, 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. in the KHS Auditorium. We will also have a family matinee at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 19.

It is a family-friendly musical version of the well-known Brothers Grimm story.

Our beautiful Kayla Chavez is the lovely Snow White.

“Her heart is pure,

Her eyes are bright,

Her hair is black,

Her name is Snow White”

So the Magic Mirror (Madelyn Terry) tells us.

Should you have a question for the mirror, you must address it with a rhyme.

The Queen (Brooke Barber), as the story goes, is terribly jealous of her beauty.

The Queen’s spell-flinging sister Witch Wicked, portrayed by Gabrielle Zwiefel (also a dancing Sprite), tries to help us understand the situation. But as the ladies-in-waiting Celeste Jacobs, Jayla Stine and Sophia McCowan show us, “No one likes the Queen.”

These ladies really only have to deal with the other court members, Sir Silly (Joey Stovall) and Sir Clumsy (Jacob Rasmussen) and the Prime Minister (Lucas Downen), who will soon become the Queen’s Henchman.

Then there are the Dwarfs; Picker, Packer, Grinder, Woeful, Splitter, Keeper and Mouse who are portrayed by Liz Buck, Merin Terry, Tyson Hooper, Lucie Allen, Kaylie Ratzlaf, Hannah Dowse and Raquel Clarkson. Dowse and Clarkson are also sprites in the dance choreographed by Tammy Yamada – thank you Tammy!

Our able and willing technical director Tegan Owens and his crew will enhance all of this with lights, special effects and sound.

A special thank you to our pianist Denise Rider and assistant director Ashly Hunter.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone for supporting KHS Drama. We know you will like the show and hope to see you there!
