Here we are, it’s show time! The journey to this point has been an amazing one, full of amazing people. We’ve been practicing since May to bring you a great show. Through the course of our rehearsals we’ve had a marriage…congratulations Jill and Ray. A birth…congratulations Ben and Melanie, and welcomed Joanna Lee. We’ve had birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.

Cast members have traveled from Page, Alton, Glendale, Fredonia (remember the time change), and Kanab at 5:45 a.m. for practices. Many cast members have found skills they never knew they had. Others have honed talents they thought they’d lost. All the cast members have reached for the stars and have become one!

Even before auditions, I wanted to have couples audition for the parts of bride and brother. We ended up with three couples on cast, giving the production a beautiful warmth in the wintery scenes of the Pontipee farm.

I am so pleased with this cast. They have poured their hearts into the production, and are bringing you a show that will entertain and delight. I am grateful for all the hard work, sore muscles and willing altitudes. It has paid off. They’re giving you a wonderful production. Please come enjoy “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” next week. We love our audiences! It will be an evening well spent.

The play begins at 7 p.m. at the KHS Auditorium on August 2, 3 and 4. Tickets, priced at $7, will be available at the box office prior to the show.
