We would like to announce a production schedule change for the Southern Utah News. Due to printing dictates beyond our control, effective June 1, we will publish our newspaper on Fridays, instead of Wednesdays.

While this is a change we must get used to, we are encouraged that the different publication date will be better for our readers, advertisers and us.

For our readers, local folks will get news and features for the weekend. Out of town subscribers will get more up-to-date news from the previous week.

Advertisers will be able to catch people in their ‘weekend mode.’ They will not only be able to feature their services or business, but they can have weekend specials for local subscribers and tourists.

We at the newspaper will also have to adjust! We hope it will be a better schedule for all, but again, one we didn’t choose.

The new deadline for business and individuals to submit items for the newspaper will be Tuesday at 5 p.m. for publication on Friday. Our new office hours will be Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. We will now be closed on all Monday holidays.

We appreciate your patience, while we make the changes.
