The Kanab Cowboys were shut out out by Beaver last Tuesday 10-0.

Beaver only had 10 hits, but used them wisely to score 10 runs. They also left eight runners on base.

Kanab was held to five hits by Beaver pitcher Seth Myers. He had good control, striking out nine Cowboys, while only walking one.

James Anderson started on the mound for the Cowboys and gave up six runs on seven hits in five innings. He had five strikeouts, while issuing only one walk. Chase Adams came on in relief in the sixth inning and allowed four runs on three hits, while striking out three and walking three.

The Cowboy defense wasn’t much help for the pitchers, beiing guilty of five errors in the game.

Brandon Jenson and Cody Glover each had two hits for the Cowboys, while Anderson had the other, as Kanab left three runners stranded.

Beaver had two home runs, one by Jeremy Brown and one by Myers.

The Kanab Cowgirls also lost to Beaver, but they put up more of a fight than the boys. Down 10-0 after four innings, the Cowgirls tallied two in the fifth and five in the sixth to get within 11-7. But Beaver put the game away in the top of the seventh with four more runs, to make the final 15-7.
