The Kane County Republication Convention is taking place Friday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kanab High School Auditorium. State and federal candidates seeking political office will be in attendance at the Kane County Convention, including those running for Governor, House and Senate, Congressional District 2, U.S. Senate, Attorney General, and other political races in Kane County and Utah. More information can be found on the Republican website at

“There are some extremely important political races taking place especially at the state and federal level, and this is a great opportunity for us to interact and visit with the candidates themselves about the issues,” said Kelly Stowell, Kane County GOP Chairman. “The political system works best when citizens are well-informed and engaged especially by the state delegates in order to make the most educated decision at the ballot box.”

Before hearing from the candidates, the Kane County GOP will select two remaining State Delegate allocations.  “Through the nominating process, coupled with a majority vote by county delegates, these two remaining delegate openings will be selected, providing the opportunity for two more people from Kane County to join us at the state convention in Salt Lake,” said Chairman Stowell.

Kane County Republicans are encouraged to attend the convention, especially those recently selected at Neighborhood Precinct Caucuses, including State Delegates, County Delegates, Neighborhood Precinct Chairs, Vice Chairs, Secretaries and other precinct leadership positions.
