Fredonia Town Council accepts Public Works Director resignation
The Fredonia Town Council meeting last week began with Town Manager Dan Watson’s brief overview of the redistricting meeting with the Coconino County supervisors, explaining that Fredonia would be in District 5 with Supervisor Lena Fowler.
He reported the League of Cities and Towns conference was informative and would’ve been an invaluable resource for the council members.
The council discussed the town corrals with Fish and Game representative Raymond Christianson. It was decided Fredonia would cover the cost of certification, but users would have to revert to paying the $.35 per head to weigh the cattle.
The council next thanked Jay Mackelprang for his years of service, as they accepted his resignation as Fredonia Public Works Director.
The council agreed to pay for the paint to assist Clayton Johnson with his Eagle Scout Project to clean up the paint ball area.
The council agreed to trade days off for the staff from the day after Thanksgiving, which is now a regular day off, to Columbus Day.
