On August 5 community members and Little Hollywood Shootout film competition hopefuls gained an edge with a special training session given by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Phil Tuckett.

The Center for Education, Business, and the Arts (CEBA) hosted the pre-shootout event free for those interested in participating in the 49-½ hour Little Hollywood Shootout digital film competition, and for anyone interested in digital media activities. The session addressed the basics of shooting short digital videos and was of great value for those who attended.

Tuckett, who serves as the DOCUTAH Festival director and Director of the Center for Media Innovation at Dixie State College, took time from his busy schedule to share his knowledge of film production with seminar attendees before traveling to Canton, Ohio to attend the National Football League Hall of Fame inductions over the weekend. Those attending the seminar included business owners interested in integrating digital media into marketing plans, aspiring film enthusiasts and hobbyists, all finding this seminar entertaining and beneficial.

Special thanks are rendered to Phil Tuckett and Christina Schultz from Dixie State College.
