French Youth Choir at City Park tonight
Tonight at 8 p.m. Kanab proudly presents Le Choeur d’Enfants d’Ile de France, a Youth Choir from France. This is one of the better known children’s choirs of Europe. There are 48 children, ages 10 to 14. They have been touring the western states since the end of June. The cities on their tour so far have included San Diego, Tucson, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Flagstaff. They are now in Kanab, will travel to Las Vegas and then to Los Angeles, after which they will return to France at the end of July – quite a trip for these young people!
Tonight they will perform a variety of sacred and secular music numbers with a special selection of “Paris Loves America.” It is a musical celebration of friendship between the two people with the best popular songs of two countries.
Their concert tonight will be held in the Jacob Hamblin Park instead of the Gazebo. An ice cream social will follow, so bring the whole family. Let’s give them a real “Hometown” Bienvenue (Welcome)!
