The Kane Schools Foundation for Students was formed to improve and enhance the quality of public education in Kane County. For the past seven years, the nonprofit has been raising funds to achieve this goal. The foundation announces a new and exciting opportunity to raise more funds to support our students. A local family has offered to match, up to $5,000, every dollar donated by members of the community, in order to inspire more donations to the foundation. Called “Double Your Dollars for Scholars,” this is a challenge gift, a call to action allowing individuals and businesses to double the impact of their support.

This means $10 donation becomes $20, a $25 donation becomes $50, and so on. Your $100 commitment can become $200 invested in needed new technology for one of our high schools, or textbooks for a middle school, or reading books for one of our elementary schools. Our current goals are to buy books for the crucial all day kindergarten program and fund another $5,000 Technology Grant for Innovation in the coming school year.

The foundation has always been committed to managing its resources intelligently and efficiently, so 100% of donated funds directly benefit students. In these economic times, the foundation and its partner, Kane School District, have worked hard to make every dollar raised and taken in, count; in the case of this challenge gift, each dollar is worth twice its value.

Individuals and businesses are invited to give at whatever level best suits their resources, knowing our generous local family stands with you in making a tremendous difference to our local kids. The benefits are exponential – to the foundation and to you and other donors – that every single dollar raised is leveraged to bring in more money to support the important cause of educational excellence in Kane County.

The foundation will run this special challenge gift program until September 30, 2011. Contact Tracy Hiscock at hiscockt@kane.k12.ut.us or 644-2555 ext. 8, for more information and to obtain a pdf pledge/donation form. No amount is too small – all donations will be doubled. Please help us make a difference to our local students – “Double Your Dollars for Scholars!”
