Nearly the entire team will represent KHS at State Drama April 18.

Congratulations to Courtney Kirby and Dalton Barton for placing first in Classical Scenes with "Taming of the Shrew".  In Mime, Johanna Bowman was awarded a Superior performance of "Book Worm" and Marissa Anderson an Excellent for "Chess".

KHS swept the awards for Dramatic Monologues with Cheryl McAllister taking first, Dave Owens second and Ben Cserepes third. Hannah Hegwood received a Superior and will be at State too. They were up against a full venue of other performers, good job KHS Drama.

Our Contemporary Scenes we were also in the top scorers. KHS Drama had only two scenes, but Josh Barton and Landon Croteau took first place for an audience favorite - "Who''s on First" and Hannah Zwiefel and McKenna Terry took second with "Alice in Wonderland".

Congratulations to Kylie Owens for second in Musical Theatre and Rebekah Marshall for third place.

And finally in Humorous Monologue, Andrew Corry won second place with his hilarious portrayal of "Driving Lesson" with Judah Evangilista right behind him, taking third with a piece he wrote, "Dating for Dummies".  Katie Tenney received a Superior and Brooke Rogers qualified for State as well!

Our One Act play, "Sorry Shakespeare" came in third, but alas, woe is me – only two plays can go to State.... Sorry Shakespeare.

But all in all, well done KHS Drama!
