Easter is almost here and Kanab Lions Club members are busy filling plastic eggs with candy and cash for their annual Easter Egg Hunt which will be held the day before Easter, Saturday, April 11 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Kanab City Park in north Kanab.

The hunt will be divided into four locations: toddlers (ages up to 3 years) will find eggs on the tennis courts; ages 3 and 4 will do their hunting on the park lawn; ages 5 and 6 will find eggs on the southeast little league baseball field; and ages 7 and 8 will hunt for eggs on the hill west of the park lawn and bowery area west of the gazebo.

The Kanab Lions have been sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt since before any of the current members can remember.

“We invite all youngsters in the designated ages to be present for the fun and ask parents to help keep them in tow until the starting time so everyone has a chance to get some eggs,” says acting president Byard Kershaw. “Also some eggs will be held back in case some youngsters do not find any. And there will be some eggs with notes in them that can be turned in for cash prizes.”

See you on April 11 at the Kanab Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt!
