The Cowboys hosted the Pahranagat Valley Panthers Friday January 7. The two teams exchanged leads the whole game until the end of regulation, until the Panther’s star player, Cody Hosier, hit a 45 foot shot to tie the game up, going into overtime.

The two teams again exchanged leads, and at the end of the first overtime, the teams were still tied. The game went into double overtime, and again the two teams were tied at the end of the overtime.

Finally, in the third overtime, senior Dan Chamberlain caught a pass from Brandon Jenson and made the lay-up with just seconds left, winning the game 88-86.

The Cowboys were led in scoring by seniors Kade Quarnberg with 27 and John Terrel with 24 points. Sophomore Brandon Jenson added another 15, while Shay Niemann netted 8.

The Cowboys were supported by many fans and Kanab High’s own Regulators. This acted as, a sixth man, and helped the Cowboys pull out the win. It is much appreciated!

Tonight, the Cowboys play the Parowan Rams in Parowan. On Friday they take on the Cross Creek Academy Bobcats.
