Kanab authors release new children's book
With a line waiting for them when they arrived, local authors, creator and illustrator, Lance and Neal Brown and Kenneth Jackson, launched the release of their new children’s book, “The Answered Prayer” at a book signing at the West Jordan Macy’s/KSL Gameday Tailgate Party.
Jonny Harline, the BYU football player who caught the amazing pass to win the game, and the voice of the Cougars for KSL, Greg Wrubell, were both there to add their endorsement for the book with their signatures.
“The Answered Prayer” is a re-telling of the 2006 BYU-Utah (Beck-to-Harline) game, in both hard-copy published form and an interactive e-book, available from Apple’s iTunes App Store December 1 (search “The Answered Prayer” or “BYU Miracle”).
With simple verse and eye-popping illustrations, “The Answered Prayer” is a bed-time story that will please anyone with a passion for sports.
When you lift the flap on the last page, you will hear the jubilant voice of Greg Wrubell calling the play.
The soon to be released e-book will engage kids and adults with its many interactive sounds. Touch the pictures and you will hear the crowd chant B-Y-U, or touch Cosmo and hear the famous cougar growl. Both formats are a fun read for both kids and adults alike.
Copies of the book can be purchased at Kanab’s Christmas Tree Festival or you can order a copy of “The Answered Prayer” from the authors’ website, lastsecondmiracles.com.
This is the first in a series of last-second wins. You can go to the website and vote or suggest your favorite last-second miracle for their next book.
