Mayu Kawajiri and Haruka Tsuzuki are two of 30 Japanese students and three adult chaperones who visited Kanab from October 23-26. They are from Kakamigahara, in the Gifu Prefecture of central Japan.

The group arrived Saturday evening, and toured Bryce Canyon on Sunday. On Monday, they visited Fredonia High School, Kanab City and Kane County offices, the Kanab City Library, Moqui Cave and Frontier Movie Town. They were treated to a reception dinner on Monday evening at Kanab Middle School.

The students stayed with host families during the evening to get a little slice of American life.
