Fredonia Summer Softball in full swing!
The Fredonia Park was packed this week with people ready to enjoy summer, and one of the best parts of summer is Fredonia is softball! Spectators from throughout the community brought their lawn chairs and blankets to watch the teams play their second week of games.
The co-ed league games are on Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m. Currently, there are seven co-ed teams. Men’s league games are on Wednesday with five teams playing. Both co-ed and men’s league teams are comprised of players from Fredonia, Kanab and the Kaibab Paiute Tribe.
Men’s League got exciting Tuesday as the Sheriffs played their second game. They had a comfortable lead and it looked like it could be an easy win, but Lotsa Motsa came back with a vengeance! They were neck and neck until the final inning when the Sheriffs had the last at-bat to take the lead by one run to win the game and keep their undefeated status.
