Kanab Junior Tennis Program to start this month
The 2009 Kanab Junior Tennis Program was a great success and so the program has been expanded to now include children ages six to 15 and adults.
Registration is Thursday, June 10, from 6-7 p.m. or Saturday June 12, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Jacob Hamblin Park (574 North 100 East, Kanab).
Parents must be present to register their child. Lessons will consist of stroke fundamentals (forehand, backhand, volley, lobs and serves) and how to play the game of tennis.
One-hour group lessons will be held weekly Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m. Additional time slots will be offered based on need.
The fee of $20 covers equipment and instruction for a six-week period. Lessons begin the week of June 14, and end with tournament play.
If you have questions, please contact Sharon Brady at 644-5335. Tennis is a game for all ages and is an excellent form of exercise. So come and join in the fun. This program is sponsored by Kanab Parks and Recreation.
