Exciting progress is underway in the Jacob Hamblin Memorial Committee’s efforts to establish a high quality memorial to Jacob Hamblin’s life and accomplishments.

In coordination with the Hamblin Family Reunion, to be held in Kanab during Jacob Hamblin Days, four sculptors will display clay models of how they envision the Jacob Hamblin statue. The models of each artist’s proposed statue will be on display at Honey’s Marketplace starting Monday, June 14. You are invited to view them, and fill out an opinion card on your personal choice.

Four highly-skilled and professional sculptors are bidding on the project; Stan Johnson of Parowan, Tyson Snow of Mesa, Arizona, Cody Keller of Santa Clara, and Annette Everett of St. George. Each of these talented artists have expressed a personal interest in Jacob Hamblin’s life, and have put a great deal of study and thought into their initial renderings.

The committee is accepting donations at JH Memorial, Box 4, Kanab, Utah 84741, or they can be given to Raelene Johnson at the Kanab City Offices, or online at jacobhamblin.com and jacobhamblin.org.
