The Center for Education, Business, and the Arts (CEBA) is proud to present the 2010 Kane County Economic Development Summit on April 23-24, at the Kanab Middle School. Highlights of this year’s summit include a community dinner on Friday, April 23, at 6 p.m. with a special keynote address by State of Utah House Speaker David Clark.

On Saturday, April 24, break-out sessions start at 9 a.m. and topics of the session center on issues facing Kane County, with a focus on the state of the economy, entrepreneurism, education, and energy.

At 10 a.m., the finalists for the “Idea to Industry” competition will present their business ideas before the winners of the contest are announced during lunch of the event. A special keynote speech will be given during lunch at noon by Leigh Von der Esch, Managing Director for the Utah Office of Tourism, followed by the announcement and award presentations of the “Idea to Industry” competition winners.

The purpose of the event is to facilitate and provide business education, promote community unification and to also bolster confidence in light of the current recessionary economic situation facing the country.
