Two worthy opponents gave their all on Thursday for the Fredonia Chamber of Commerce Small Town Idol finale.  Brady Franklin of Glendale and Brian Hilding of Fredonia, were the two remaining finalists from the six-week competition at CR Diner.  Both gave the performances of their lives!

Brady stepped out of his comfort zone and completely wowed the audience and judges with his rendition of a Dean Martin classic, while Brian entertained as the Big Bopper.  From the Doors to Tom Jones, these two blew everyone away with the three songs they had chosen to sing.

It was an exciting night for all in the standing room only CR Diner.  Down to the last note, it was anyone’s game.  No one envied the judges that night, as both competitors were equally remarkable!  Unfortunately, the judges did have to score and choose someone as the winner.  After carefully tallying the scores, they deemed Brian Hilding the Small Town Idol winner!

Though Brian had been battling influenza, he mustered all his energy and talent to claim his musical victory.

Event coordinator and emcee Crystal Mognett, thanked the judges and Karaoke Jockey profusely for all of their time and efforts before handing out the long list of fabulous prizes donated by area businesses.
