“The Attic Door,” formerly known as “Monsters in the Attic,” won several awards at the 2009 BendFilm Festival held October 8-11,2009. Scott Uhlfelder took home “Best Cinematography,” Kristin Dyrud took home “Best Score,” and the production team took home the coveted “Best Feature” prize.

“The Attic Door” was the most recent movie filmed in Kanab and was part of the Southern Utah Student Film Incentive program. The project was also featured during a roundtable session at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2008. The film’s sponsors include Kane County Film Commission, Kanab City and the Utah Film Commission.

Winning top awards has given us a little bump at film festivals and we are excited to share a few big ones to be officially announced in the near future.

Until then, we are pleased to bring the project back to its Utah home for a screening at the Red Rock Film Festival in Zion Canyon.  Come out on November 14, to attend the screening, and have a drink with us. The time and location will be announced at a later date.
