The Kanab High School wrestling team traveled to the Enterprise Tournament over the weekend to compete against 19 other teams from across the state.  As a team, the Cowboys ended up seventh. Individual place winners included Cody Stubbs, who stood atop the podium in first place; Dylan Bistline and Dustin Bistline both made it to the finals and ended up second after losing tough battles. Kadin Jones and Luke Browning each won their last match of the day to place fifth.

Last week, the Cowboy wrestlers traveled to Page, Arizona, where they competed with teams from Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.  Kanab placed ninth as a team out of 28 schools. Cody Stubbs and Dylan Bistline each brought home top honors by winning the tournament in their respective weights. Dustin Bistline placed fourth. Brennan Maddux and Kadin Jones each brought home a fifth place medal.

This week, the wrestlers are preparing for the Divisional Tournament at Beaver High School. This is the qualifying tournament for the State Tournament, which will be held the following weekend, Feb. 8-9, in Richfield at the Sevier Valley Center. The Divisional Tournament will start at 4 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday. Come out and support our team.
