Karen Alvey was honored with the Outstanding Service Award for her years of service to education in Kane County.  Her service as a member of the school board and as a founding director of the Kane Foundation for Students has demonstrated her dedication to young people of our county. 

Throughout her service as mayor of Kanab City and her leadership in various state organization, she has emphasized the need for quality in our schools and has been a factor in our district receiving substantial grant funds as well as her personal donations.  She has been an advocate for students and teachers and has truly given Outstanding Service to our schools.

 The retirees this year are:  Pat Ensle, Jo McFadden, Venna Haynes, Kay Willardson, Lynn Wilcock  and Dan Merrell (not pictured).
