Pigskin Predictions Grand Prize Winners
It was a clean sweep for the women this year as they swept $500 in cash for being the top three prognosticators in the SUN’s Pigskin Predictions football contest.
Betty Herlacher (l) took first place and $300 in cash for picking the winning team in 72 of 100 football games this year. Andrea Gilberg (c) and April Riddle (r) both had 70 right to tie for second place and get $100 each (they split the second place $150 and third place $50).
More important than winning the cash, the gals get bragging rights at home for a year, as Betty was four better than her hubby Ken (68); Andrea was one better than Daniel (69); and April was one better than Donnie (69). Also getting 69 right, and finishing just out of the money, was Jason Zurek. Kris Kowal was next with 68. Kathy Chamberlain was right behind her with 67. Rounding out the top ten was Bill Corson, who finished with 65. Congratulations to the winners!
A big thank you to our sponsors, for without them this game would not be possible: Zion Pharmacy, Honey’s Marketplace, Kanab Furniture, #1 Stage Stop, Ramsay Service Center, Juniper Ridge Restaurant, Kanab Family Dental, Garkane Energy, NAPA Auto Parts and Glazier’s Family Market. Please patronize them when you can!
Also thanks to the many players who participated this year. See you next year!
