Kanab Fire Department kicks off its “Fill the Boot” for Muscular Dystrophy campaign this week with fundraising activities all over town. Look for coin cans and donation booths at several local businesses. Firefighters will also be collecting money in person during Western Legends Roundup events and from motorists on US-89 throughout the Labor Day weekend.

For more than 50 years, firefighters from all over America have been raising funds to help fight Muscular Dystrophy. The department’s goal this time is to raise $2000 for Jerry’s Kids.

MDA helps children and adults who are affected by any of 40 neuromuscular diseases covered by MDA’s medical services and research programs. The Association receives no government funding and charges no fees to the people who receive assistance.

Every penny counts! Please take a moment to help fill the boot when you see your Kanab firefighters out on the streets.
