The Kanab Arts Council is pleased to announce the 4th annual Red Rocktoberfest Art Walk on October 20, 2018. This year’s event is full of activities for all ages including the Chalk Art Festival, an organized walk through Kanab’s “merchant mile,” a root beer garden, face painting, hay rides, bounce houses at the Farmers Market, and prizes for those who walk the full length and visit key destinations on the provided map.

This is a great opportunity to join with the community in celebrating our rich culture of visual, performing, literary, and folk art, as well as our local entrepreneurs in a festive fall atmosphere.

Featured local performing artists include the Disorderlies, Red Rock Dance, John Stone, Kanab’s Fabulous Crooners, Josh Baird and Tara Timpson, Jon Slater and more.

Local visual artists will have the opportunity to present their work in booths and on the pavement. With the inclusion of the Chalk Art Festival, professional artists will take to the streets (or the sidewalks), in a unique competition, with the winners announced Saturday evening.

Healthy Kane County Coalition is supporting the event by hosting booths at both the start and end points of Kanab’s “merchant mile.” Water and punch cards will be provided to all attendees. Those who visit all of the featured businesses and artists (and participate in key activities) will have a chance to win prizes at the end of the walk.

Late registration is still open for businesses and artists who would like to participate. E-mail kanabarts@gmail.com to register.
