On August 10, 2009 Jeffrey Frost was driving northbound on SR-89 near Three Lakes when he decided to turn back towards Kanab. 

Andrea Geminian was also traveling northbound on SR-89 behind Frost in a silver Dodge Charger. 

Geminian started to pass Frost just as he was making a U-turn.  She was unable to stop and hit Frost.
