Feeling Lucky 5K a hit
The 2018 Feeling Lucky 5K was a hit again this year! Over 70 runners came out to run/walk the three-mile course, with over 20 kids age 12 and under!
Kristen Nielson was the overall winner, with a time of 23:20.79. Mike Bartholomew, of Sterling, Utah, was the top male finisher, clocking a time of 24:17.93
The lollipop race and the youth 400-meter run were crowd pleasers again. Kids three and under toddled their way down the track to a sweet lollipop victory, while those 12 and under battled it out with a one lap race around the track.
This is a great event held by the KHS track and cross-country teams every St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
Thanks to all those who came out to participate and don’t forget to sign up for the Mother’s Day 10K! A huge thank you to our sponsors: Kane County Office of Tourism, Kanab City and Monster Ink of Parowan.
