It should be fair weather for all the events at the fair this week. Wednesday, August 12, is the day to enter your home arts, crafts and children’s fair items, as well as the 4-H exhibits.

The parade in Orderville begins at 6:30 p.m. with the theme is "Making Memories".

Following the parade the Princess Pageant will take place at the Valley High School Little Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday come on out for the youth horse show at the Carroll Arena. Friday is a big day for viewing the exhibits at the Valley gym.

Folks can set up their commercial booths. Registration is at 1 p.m. for the small animals, poultry and foul at the Carroll Arena. Goat registration also begins at 1 p.m. At 4:30 p.m. is the Jr. Livestock show judging contest. 5 the livestock show with the Peewee show immediately following the Jr. show.

That evening there will be fireworks and a dance at the VHS and the Town Park. Saturday is a big day starting off with the golf tournament at 8 a.m. The pet show is at 8:30 a.m. and the livestock sale is at 10 a.m.

The baby contest will begin at 10 a.m. at the exhibit hall stage. And the Dutch oven contest at the Carroll Arena at 12 noon.

The big annual rodeo will begin at 7 p.m. prior to the Jackpot dummy roping which will begin an hour before the rodeo begins.

Come on out and join the crowd. Get a whopper hamburger and drinks at the Lions Club building. And enjoy your weekend at the Kane County Fair!
