Free small business classes at Kanab Writers Conference
The annual Kanab Writers Conference will be held at the Kanab Middle School on October 20 and 21, with New York Times bestselling author Ally Condie as keynote speaker. Among the 26 breakout classes will be a strand for small business owners covering accounting, marketing through Facebook ads, building up your newsletter, and search engine optimization. Though these four classes are presented for writers, any small business owner would benefit from the information offered.
The cost of the conference is $50, but anyone wanting to take only Saturday’s business strand classes can do so for free because of a grant from Kane County’s Center for Education, Business and the Arts (CEBA) and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Those wanting to take other writing classes (along with business classes) on Friday and Saturday will need to pay the fee.
