Panguitch community treats firefighters with cookies and lemonade
On Tuesday, June 27, from 6-9 p.m., on the end of town towards Panguitch Lake, residents of Panguitch fed firefighters cookies, donuts and lemonade.
Brooklee Mosdell had this idea and her mom posted it on Facebook, so of course the whole town pitched in!
Kim Huntington, manager of the local Chevron, donated donuts and ice. The C-Stop owner provided cups, the drug store provided paper to make signs and balloons, and the residents of Panguitch donated the main treats – donuts, cookies and lemonade.
Brooklee is the daughter of Jody and Melissa Mosdell. We are very proud of her and the community!
Message on Melissa Mosdell’s Facebook page: “I have had so many people reaching out today to me and I just wanted to let everyone know Brooklee may have had the idea for the lemonade stand, but there is no way that we could have done it without the great community we live in.
“There were so many people who donated lemonade, cookies, treats, etc. We ran out several times and someone would show up with more treats! The kids came, they made signs and they passed out tons of lemonade (like 600-700 glasses). They never complained and when it was over, they asked if they could finally have a drink, because they didn’t want to take away from the firemen! I love our community and how everyone comes together. Thank you can never be enough!”
