Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Well, look no further ... come on out to the Kaneplex Arena this Thursday, Friday or Saturday ... or better yet, come on out all three nights, as there are different events going on each evening.

It all starts on Thursday, June 15 at 6 p.m. with the Tri-Valley Rodeo for any local cowboys and cowgirls under the age of 18.

Saturday’s events don’t start until 6 p.m. when Women’s Team Sorting gets underway.

But wait, there is a Heritage Tour, led by Mel Heaton, that takes the Honeymoon Trail from Pipe Springs to St. George in the morning. For those wishing to take part in this adventure, please contact Bob Johnson at 689-0986. A four wheel drive vehicle or Jeep is required.

You will visit such points of interest as the Cedar Ridge Wagon Stop, Cottonwood Spring, Antelope Spring, the Hurricane Rim Wagon Road, and Fort Pierce. If you have signed up for this ride, be at Pipe Springs by 8:30 a.m.

The biggest event of the weekend is set for Saturday, June 17, also at Kaneplex Arena, when the Ranch Rodeo takes place, starting at 7 p.m.

But ... hold your horses ... there will also be a team roping event earlier in the day, beginning at 10 a.m.

Back to the Ranch Rodeo ... there will be Mutton Busting for the little cowpokes, Team Tie Down Steer Roping, Team Penning, Team Rope Sorting, Team Branding, Team Trailer Load, and Barrel Racing for the ladies.

It is so much fun to watch, so take the whole family for a night out. They even have a concession stand if you get hungry or thirsty!
