Stewart named new Principal at KHS
Kane School District is pleased to announce Trevor Stewart has been selected to be the new principal of Kanab High School.
Stewart was born in Cedar City and raised in Tropic, Utah, by his parents, Max and Phyllis Stewart. He graduated from Bryce Valley High School, then served an LDS Mission in Madrid, Spain. Following his mission, he attended and graduated from Southern Utah University with a dual major in Psychology and Spanish.
While at SUU, he met, chased, caught and married a beautiful Kanab girl, Jennifer Noel. After their marriage and graduation, they moved to Kanab to manage the Noel ranch, while he completed his masters in School Counseling from Utah State University Distance Education. He and Jennifer have five wonderful children: Dane, currently serving an LDS mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Emily, who just graduated from KHS and will be attending Dixie State University in the fall; Alyssa, an incoming freshman and KHS Larriette; Sophia, a seventh grade student at KMS; and Levi, a fourth grade student at KES.
Stewart has been the high school counselor at Kanab High for 15 years. During that time, he completed his administrative licensure and served as the vice principal.
Stewart loves spending time with his family, doing just about anything, but he especially enjoys ranching, traveling and spending time outdoors. He loves Kanab and the many friendships he has with students, parents, colleagues and community members. We look forward to working with Mr. Stewart in his new administrative position and congratulate him on his accomplishments.
