Kanab High School (KHS) Mission Statement – “Success by learning, doing, and serving.”

KHS music students traveled to Delta High School to participate in region solo and ensemble competition. The students did a great job in their preparations and performed well.

The adjudication in music festivals is generally pretty tough. The adjudicators (judges) have to meet qualifications and become certified before they can judge. The ratings are: Superior I, Excellent II, Good III, Fair IV, and Poor V. Each of those ratings also have a plus and minus system similar to grades I, I-, II+, II, II-, etc. In order to qualify for state, the solo or ensemble must receive a straight I, no minus.
