School is back in session and we are excited for another new school year. We welcome our new Superintendent, Ben Dalton, and would also like to thank outgoing Superintendent Robert Johnson for all of his years of service.

The teachers recently participated in our annual opening institute where teachers and staff received various training for the new year. We also were addressed by Ben Horsley regarding professionalism and how to treat others. One of the highlights of opening institute was to be able to honor the retirees from the district. This year, we had many who have served the students of Kane County Schools retire. Pictured above are (l-r): Viola Swamp (aka Nancy Roundy), Robert Johnson, Brent Judd, Wanda Heaton, Karen Kelly, Cindy Glover, Rhonda Button and Naomi Short. Also retiring, but not pictured, were Marie Barney and Joyce Spencer.
