France Children's Choir to perform in Kanab on July 15
For over 40 years, Francis Bardot has led his young singers around the globe. During that time, a network of friendship has grown from their multiple activities, creating numerous opportunities for exchange reaching far beyond children’s choirs.
These last years, we have had the pleasure of welcoming several children’s choirs from Quebec, Hungary, Israel, and even from the states, including the cities of Phoenix, Tucson and Philadelphia.
This is how our projects come to life on each side of the Atlantic. During our last tour, outstanding musicians and organists have shown trust in our talent and kindly agreed to perform with us in their churches and other staged events, and their homes have been graciously opened for us to stay in. This year’s tour of 25 U.S. cities is a new opportunity to create bonds and offer our young musicians an experience that is not only entertaining, but also intense, demanding and enriching.
We are excited to perform in Kanab again this summer. Four years ago, we didn’t quite know what to expect in Kanab. When we received such an enthusiastic and warm welcome, and saw the magnificent natural beauty of the surrounding area, we just knew we had to come back. We are so looking forward to seeing the national and state parks, and Lake Powell.
Thank you for making this possible for us and we hope you enjoy our concert, on Wednesday, July 15, at Jacob Hamblin Park. The performance will start at 7 p.m. Admission to the concert is free. Please bring chairs and/or blankets.
