The annual Jacob Hamblin Days festival features rodeos at the Kaneplex Arena, with events offered for youth, cowboys and cowgirls.

On Friday, June 19, the Youth Rodeo starts at 7 p.m., followed by women’s team sorting starting at 9 p.m., all at the KanePlex Arena.

On Saturday, June 20, Gymkana Events start at 10 a.m., which includes equestrian games and events. Team roping at KanePlex Arena also starts at 10 a.m.

The Jacob Hamblin Days Ranch Rodeo starts at 7 p.m., with competitive ranch events happening throughout the evening.

A meeting for all the participating teams starts at 6 p.m. Team events include team tie-down steer roping, team stampede race, mutton busting, team rope sorting, barrel racing, team branding, and team trailer load. Prizes for the team events and barrel racing include trophy buckles for first, breast collar for second and headstall for third, along with 2/3 payback on prize money.

The Youth/Novice Rodeo is Friday night, June 19, with registration opening at 5 p.m. and the rodeo at 6 p.m. The cost is $3 per event for the youth rodeo and the following order of events is:

•Sheep Ride

•Steer Daubing Jr/Sr

•Boot Race (must be able to get on and off your horse)

•Ribbon Roping Jr/Sr

•Sheep Ride (second round if needed)

•Flag Race Jr/Sr

•Barrel Racing Pewee/Jr/Sr

•Ribbon Race Pewee/Jr/Sr

•Hide Race Jr/Sr

Following the Youth Rodeo on Friday night, there will be women’s team sorting with a cost of $5/participant or $15/team.

Other events on Saturday include team roping, produced by DT Cattle Company, with registration opening at 9 a.m. and roping at 10 a.m.
