Applications sought to fill Fredonia Moccasin Governing Board Vacancy
Coconino County Superintendent of Schools Risha VanderWey is seeking applications to fill a governing board vacancy with the Fredonia Moccasin Unified School District (FMUSD).
VanderWey determined an appointment to fill the vacant seat will best meet the needs of the community and district.
The seat will become vacant on June 20, due to the resignation of Duane Baird. The appointed board member will serve from the date of appointment through December 31, 2016.
To be eligible to serve on a school district governing board:
•A candidate must be a registered voter of the State of Arizona.
•A candidate must be a resident of the school district for at least one year prior to the appointment.
•A candidate nor their spouse may not be an employee of FMUSD.

An advisory committee, consisting of district residents and a current board member, will be assembled to conduct interviews and advise Superintendent VanderWey.
