At the November 17 election canvass of votes, the result was a tie once again in the Linton/Glazier race for a seat representing District 4 of the Kane County School Board. A recount has been requested.

If the votes remain tied at 178 votes each after the recount, the state constitution calls for selection by lot! That could mean the winner will be chosen by a coin toss. Then there will be an audit by the Lt. Governor’s office on the recount. The only contested race in Kane County has turned out to be quite exciting.
