Fredonia seniors to hold mock presidential debate tonight
The senior government class of Fredonia High School has been learning about the political process. The class was divided in half and asked to name their party, make a slogan, develop a platform and choose a presidential candidate.
Members of the staff were asked to present questions in four areas: welfare reform, gun control, unemployment, and education. The students immediately got to work researching statistics and laws to answer the questions.
A debate between the two parties will be held on Thursday, November 21, at 6 p.m., in the Fredonia School District’s Media Center. We invite all to come and be a part of the political process. A reception will follow the debate.
