Two Escalante men killed in small plane crash
Two Escalante residents, pilot Paul Clark Bowmar, 57, and passenger Nicholas Wolfrom Rezmick, 59,were killed last Saturday afternoon at around 3:30 p.m., after the single-engine plane they were flying in crashed into transmission power lines. The crash happened between Escalante and Boulder, near State Route 12 by milepost 78.5.
The two men were flying the plane for recreational purposes when they hit the power lines. Both were killed instantly. The two men’s bodies were transported to the Salt Lake Medical Examiner’s Office, and the accident is under investigation.
