Kanab Arts Council to hold youth appreciation dance
On Tuesday, August 14, from 7:30-10 p.m., at The Terrace, the Kanab Arts Council would like to invite all of Kanab’s fantastic young people to a special dance in appreciation for the many every day things they do to make this community the greatest place on earth to live! Ian Hiscock has been invited as DJ and electronic music wizard.
Hiscock is the son of John and Tracy Hiscock of Kanab, and a 2010 graduate of Kanab High School. He now lives in Salt Lake City where he is a sophomore at the University of Utah, studying Digital Communications and Arts Technology. He loves electronic music, and plans to make a career out of electronic dance music event production. It’s a goal he works towards every day.
Hiscock made his debut at the Gazebo last summer as the pre-show for one of the performances, and says of that experience, “Me performing was only a small part of the incredible energy and great people united for the love of electronic music and unity that we all share. Nothing makes me happier than performing for people who are there to enjoy the music. No greed, no overrated headliners, just a community of people there for the music. This was my first show playing my original productions, so it was a milestone for me and I couldn’t be happier about the whole experience. It was such an amazing experience!”
Hiscock is excited to DJ, and brings his original music to our Kanab Youth Appreciation Dance. So grab your partner and come on down to The Terrace and have a great time!
Please remember, absolutely no alcohol or tobacco is allowed on the premises.
