Citizens of Kanab, Fredonia, Valley, and the surrounding area are invited to attend the grand opening kickoff of the Terrace Outdoor Performing Arts Center on Thursday, June 14, at 8 p.m.

We proudly present for your enjoyment a few of the many performers that will be featured at our new “Wednesday Night at the Terrace”:  Kanab’s Symphony of the Canyons Ensemble, with Kortney Stirland conducting; Sally Bonham and Julie Johnson, country singers; Hal Hamblin and Doug Keller, cowboy poetry; Shirley Whittaker and Marcie Smith on the piano and flute; and Kalli Mousaw and Shellie Stewart’s Red Rock Dancers.

Mayor Nina Laycook has invited as special guests for this evening the “All Woman City Council” from 1912. Dressed in their period attire, they will help introduce our performers. This will be the first of many exciting performances showcasing the area’s great talent.

The Kanab City Council and the Kanab Arts Council would like to thank the Kane County School District, and everyone who has volunteered their time, equipment, energy, donations, and especially their hearts, for getting this wonderful project ready for us!

To celebrate this great community endeavor, we will be serving ice cream, and everyone is invited! So, come along, bring your chairs or spread your blankets, and enjoy some wonderful entertainment at our new venue – Thursday, June 14, 8 p.m., at the New Terrace...behind the old Heritage Library!
